Minute of Diversity

The idea of the first flashmob in Vanadzor, Armenia, seeming impossible to lots of people days before, came true. Countless questions: can we managewill the young people of our city gatherwhat if it rains? Today these questions don’t worry us any more as June 18, 2011, is already past and those questions have got their answers – yes, we can, yes, the youth of our city united around this idea… Besides, I don’t want to forget to say that it didn’t rain…

On June 18, in Hayq Square of Vanadzor took place the flashmob "Minute of Diversity"  which was initiated by the young participants of Peace Dialogue’s project “Let’s see… Let’s choose… Let’s change…”.
The aim of the flashmob was to form respect towards multiculturalism, to show that everyone is unique in the gray mass and everyone is an individual, we only need to get rid of that drab.
The “Minute of Diversity” was felt by about 70 young people, as well as by the members of Flashmob Division from Yerevan. The collaboration was very useful, and the flashmob – successful. Though there were a lot of different opinions concerning the latter, I find that the first experience was very successful, even more – educative and exciting.
